Autocomplete feature for android tablet web browser?

When I text on my android phone I type a few letters and the texting app suggests words, and I don't have to type the whole word all the time.

Does something like that exist for chrome on my android tablet so I don't have to type every letter of every word?

Not sure about an Android tablet but my iPad does that.

Check the options? I know on phones that feature can be turned on and off.
