Many Husker fans have expressed disdain for the two invented, forced, and corporate-sponsored rivalry trophies we now play for. Let's not forget that with re-alignment we are not the only ones having rivalries severed and re-attached like frankenstein. There are more examples outside of the B1G, but that would have added too many options.

I'll just say that the Land Grant Trophy is not any better than our crappy new ones. In fact, its a lot uglier. Maybe that actually makes it cooler? Still stupid.

I can't wait for the new one for Rutgers-Maryland. It will take some of the heat off of us. As a side-bet, why don't you guys come up with a name for that new rivalry/trophy......

Easily freedom trophy. Just a paperweight on top of an oversized box.

At least with the heroes trophy it looks like they tried a little to put a corn/thanksgiving theme in the wood.

They're all stupid IMO. I'd take the bits of broken chair over any of these any day.

Maybe the NCAA should print up participation ribbons for all players every year then maybe Iowa wouldn't feel compelled to have rings made for winning quite a few more games than normal or whatever the f#ck they did that for recently.
