Breaking News

Earlier this week at the top of the huskerboard website I saw a box that said Breaking News and said the head coaching job for HB is up for grabs. Is there a way to make a breaking news box whenever there actually is breaking news?? For instance if we get a new recruit for football or basketbal, it can be seen in the breaking news box or after a game it has the score posted in the box.. Just an idea :dunno

 
Good idea. During the season we have an area in the sidebar that shows the week's game, with the score updated after the results are in. We've updated with announcements and news (by highlighting threads) in the past, so both are things that we have done before.

Having it for new commits and other news items is a great idea.

Agreed. And if anyone thinks of topics that would fit, don't hesitate to let us know (no guarantee we'd use them - just imagine what BRI or Eric would suggest). Thanks!

 
Was this a no go, cause I would think that the new about TO would go up there.

Possibly for a thread to put up there would be the look-alike threads from each week?

 
This was a regular feature up there for a while, but it's currently been replaced by the game day box. I actually thought the look-alike thread was up there...not sure if that will stay a regular feature or not (the Look-Alike), but I'll add it in for this week. As awesome as it's been! ;)

Dacia Sandero? The $8,000 Romanian car? Well it's certainly not about breaking the bank. Could be about breaking unions. Or braking distance. But more likely to be about breaking down. :lol:
