Mavric

Yoda
What's up with this guy lately.  I know he's been around for awhile but I don't really remember much one way or the other from him.

Until about the last two weeks.  Now he seems like he'll hell-bent to argue about everything.  Pretty combative about it.

No breaking any rules.  I was just wondering if he's always been like this and I just haven't paid attention or if this is a new thing for him.

I've thought about bringing him up here a few times too, Mav. Not for direct rule breaking but for general, irritative behavior. He has a really abrasive attitude sometimes and has a tendency to talk down to people. He also starts arguments over incredibly minor details.

I'm also wondering if he follows me around to different threads just to pick fights. Maybe I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill, but he will quote me multiple times per week to disagree with me on something. He can disagree with anyone all he wants but it feels like he targets certain people more-so than others.

To answer your question though, yes, I think he's been like this for at least the last couple of months. He seems to be spending way more time here now that the season starts. I do wish he would stop with some of the snark.

He's also now causing a fuss in the Akron preview thread because I merged it with another thread of someone trying to preview Akron.

Man, he's really fired up about me merging two similar threads about Akron.

Hyperbole and sarcasm are apparently necessary because this is kind of absurd. We've never done it like this before. Go back to about any game week and we have numerous threads about that week's team in a variety of flavors. One thread about Akron during Akron week is not a problem. 10 threads during Akron week shouldn't be out of line. Especially when one topic dominates discussion to the point it should be a megathread. That's exactly why we set up the Scott Frost megathread. Those were distinctive threads, too. But they became a distraction.

The preview threads have historically been just that, a way to preview a team well in advance. Previews from publications, etc.  Not catch alls for any and all discussion.

Yeah, that's the kind of stuff I've been noticing a lot lately.  Nothing really over the line but pretty annoying when it seems like that's about all he does lately and it seems to be showing up everywhere.
