Can we proclaim ourselves?

I would like us to come up with an additional slogan for our board.

Something like: "#1 FREE Husker message board!" or soemthing like that. I would like to prove it though through some kind of statistics like most members signed up or if we could find somewhere to document the most hits or whatever. Just want to be able to justify it some kind of way.

Joe should be able to come up with some kind of statistical basis for our hits or average number of new members per month, or some such. The problem, I would think, is getting comparable statistics from other sites to which we can compare ours.

with reasons why we are indubitably #1 and the shortcomings of the other forums

A lot of sites/companies proclaim themselves as "#1 rated" or "most popular" or whatever. Not that I'm advocating this, but do they really have any documentation for such claims? I'm thinking half the time they are just pulling stuff out of their a$$. Which makes them look a bit stupid.

"#1" is fine by me, although I am not totally sure if we are the most popular or not.

Eric, I hate to say it but I think we wouldn't fare well on statistics. We don't even rate high enough on Google Trends to register on their app. I think if that's the case that we would not want to publish how many hits we have, since Huskermax and Huskerpedia both would be higher. The less definitive we are the better.

There's nothing wrong with calling ourselves "The #1 Husker Message Board." Being "#1" is a subjective term, and can be applied for any number of reasons. *I* think we're #1, so that's good enough to put on a banner.

True...that's why we are going to thoroughly research some avenues and then converse about it. It' doesn't have to go up tomorrow.
