I mean, it's not like you have anything better to do while you're sitting in isolation. This might be the most football excitement we get for a while. Let's show them who the best fanbase is and turn the whole map Big Red!

Ultimately, our goal is to eliminate all of the other teams and control the whole map. If you click on a territory on the map, you can see who controls it (click it again to make the popup go away). Generally, you should avoid attacking territories that our allies control and focus on other territories. I'll try to keep this thread updated with the status of that stuff. For the most part, we're probably going to focus on westward expansion, as we did last game.

You have two options each day: defend a territory we control, or attack a territory we don't. Once you're registered, all you have to do each day is scroll down to the Actions section and click on the logo of the territory you want to attack or defend - it only takes a minute or two each day to participate.

We use various means to coordinate our moves each day. You can sign up for daily orders in a few places. The easiest is to use the Huskers Risk website. Just sign in with your Reddit account (which you'll need to play the game) and you'll be given a daily order. If you like Discord, you can join the Huskers Risk Discord server, where we have a bot set up to send daily orders. (Most strategic planning also happens on the Discord.) Or if all else fails, follow my posts in this thread, where I'll be making regular posts about our daily status and priorities.

We currently have an alliance with Oklahoma and Texas A&M and a nonaggression pact with Wisconsin, so attacking territories they control is discouraged.

Looks like it's gonna be a Nebraska-Oklahoma-Texas A&M alliance. AKA a f#&% The Horns alliance.

First turn ends tonight at 10 Central. You become more powerful in the game by playing more days, and more consecutive days, so get your votes in!

Good start to the game yesterday, we captured every single territory bordering Nebraska and eliminated their teams. That's Colorado State, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Missouri, and Wyoming all KO'd in one hit.

Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Georgia Tech are all well ahead of us in players and star power at the moment, though, so we need more players!

Or you can join the Discord and have an attack/defend order sent to you daily.

Hoo boy, now we've done it. We're in first place with fifteen territories. We control a pretty big chunk of the map now. Problem is, we're in fifth place for number of players, and now we've got a big target on our backs. We need more players!
