Frank, do you have the ability to search member email addresses? Our newest member, @corNball6 signed up with an email that seems familiar. Does this ring any bells?

The closest I can find was someone named ily#87, who tried to register November of 2008. That account is still in Validation. I also searched on just Alyssa and just Jose. That was it.

This person just posted for the first time, in the Woodshed. The IP has been used before, by only one other member, JJHusker1, who is currently under suspension.

I didn't give corNball6 the Shed password. Anyone else?

I'm going to suspend that account until further notice.

 
So, consensus it's JJ? If so, what are going to do about him? He's one of our oldest (and best, IMO) members. He doesn't cause trouble, and aside from telling someone to F off recently, he never causes problems.

 
I think it's gotta be a lock. I mean, I suppose it could be someone in his family.

He deserved the suspension but sometimes suspension seems to bring out the worst in members that probably would've come back to being just fine without it. At the same time, you an't accept that you walked too close to the line and sit three days out?...

I can send a PM to him warning him not to attempt to get around the ban. Hopefully he doesn't react badly, because he is one of our oldest members.

 
I think he deserved the suspension and the reprimand but I also think he was more trying to be funny (while still getting his point across) and failed than actually cause problems. As has been mentioned, he's been a good member for some time. Lapse in judgement, perhaps?

As far as the sock puppet goes, definitely against the rules but I think another chance is in order. Hopefully he's learned.
