A father, passing by his teen-age son's bedroom was astonished to see that his bed was nicely made and everything had been picked up.
He saw an envelope propped up prominently on the pillow. On the front was written the name "DAD", in large block letters.
With a terrible premonition, he opened the envelope and read.....
"Dear Dad,
It is with great regret and sorrow that I'm writing this. I have eloped with my new girlfriend Stacy because I wanted to avoid a confrontation with you and mum.
I have found true love with Stacy, she is really such a wonderful person. I know that neither you nor mum would approve of her because of all the tattoos, body piercings, tight motorcycle clothes, and the fact she is
ten years older than I am.
But it is not just the passion that's binding us, Dad. Stacy is pregnant.
We feel that we can make a good lif e together. She owns a trailer in the woods and has a stack of firewood for the whole winter.
We both share the dream of having a large family, and Stacy has opened my eyes to the fact that marijuana doesn't really hurt anyone.
We'll be growing it for ourselves and trading it with other people who live nearby for ecstasy and crack.
In the meantime, we will pray that medical science will find a cure for AIDS so Stacy can get better. She deserves it.
Don't worry Dad, I'm 15 and I know how to take care of myself.
Someday we will be back so you and mum can get to know your grandchildren."

show you that there are worse things in life than the report card that's in the center desk drawer.
