^^ ColoHusk made this post about getting around the OWH's paywall. Do we care about this? I'm asking because I know there have been mods in the past who would most likely delete stuff like this.

My take: I'm not overly concerned here. But I think it's worth discussing. I think the OWH and others realize that there will be quite a few folks who bypass their paywall. While others will just pay the $25 per year to subscribe. I think they made it relatively easy to get past their paywall so that they could attract both sorts of viewers. I've subscribed to on-line papers in the past (Washington Post), but I probably won't subscribe to the OWH.

What think ye?

 
Hmmmm...I don't see that there's much difference between this and providing links to sites that host copyright protected video. In each case, the post helps facilitate accessing content that is protected. That's my take, anyway. I'd love to hear everyone else's thoughts, though.

 
Yeah, that was my thought as well AR. I don't think that's probably something we should have on the open board.

Maybe let people know they need to PM that info to people instead of having it in the open?

 
Good call. I edited his post, redacting the instruction to circumvent the paywall. l left the rest of the post with an explanation that it's best not to post stuff like that on HB.
