This recipe was my mom's recipe and I love it
.she isn't with us anymore. I have alot of good memories of being with her and she was an excellent cook and she taught me how to cook
I think the first recipe she taught me how to cook was fried chicken and I do make a great fried chicken

Cocoa Roll Recipe:
5 beaten egg yolks
Add 1 cup of powdered sugar
Beat until well mixed with a dash of salt and 2 teaspoons of vanilla
Add 1/2 cup of flour & 3 large Tablespoons of cocoa & beat good
Fold in 5 beaten egg whites
Grease a cookie sheet with sides good. Spread with waxed paper & grease the paper real good too. Bake until done (probably about 10 minutes at 325 degrees - spread waxed paper on counter. Turn roll out of pan and peel off the waxed paper from the roll. Roll up. Cool and unroll, spread with vanilla ice cream (takes about 1/2 gallon), and reroll. Wrap in aluminum foil and freeze.
