Will Shields has provided a legacy athlete for the Husker program just not another All American Guard in the sport we associate Will with. Maybe Shavon Shields becomes an All American 2 Guard on the hardwood.

Shavon was here this weekend. He is a 6'4 wing player from Olathe, Kansas.

 
Ahhhh yeah nice pick-up. Just needs to add a little strengh and he could be a stud, glad we got him before the bigger schools cuold offer him.

 
Also good to hear the family let him decide for himself. Makes it that much more encouraging that the kid decided he wanted to come here because of what he saw in the school, not because his Dad influenced him. Dad had to be pretty proud of the choice, though. From the article I read, the kid said they really didn't get to Lincoln much because of how busy they were, so he really hadn't seen the town too much. Anyhoo... good for Doc, and good to hear!
