Big Ten Regular Season Champs. They've put together a pretty good team this year.....let's hope they and other BIG teams make some noise in the tournaments and put the Big Ten on the college baseball map.

We're included in "other teams that might make some noise".....there are a bunch of BIG teams in the Top 40 that could show up,....heck, we could win the Big Ten tournament. Be a good sport and congratulate Illinois for a great year. It would be nice to have a Big Ten team in the CWS and have the southern teams scratching their head about how the yankees wore their Mackinaws and electric socks in March and still were able to compete with the tropical resort schools.

Yes it was an excellent year for the Illini, I just want us to finally win a Big Ten Championship in a sport people care about (football, basketball, baseball, volleyball) more so for the men's side. And yes, we do need a serious contender to come from the north.

 
Maryland and Illinois in the driver's seat to make the Super at 2-0....Iowa still has a shot but has to beat Missouri State twice, currently down 1-0 in the 5th.

 
If you haven't heard already, Maryland beat the #1 team in the country UCLA and advanced to the Super Regional against Virginia. Illinois advanced to theirs as well against Vanderbilt.
