Culbert at I-back

I thought this was kinda interesting:

Culbert at I-back

Who ever thought we'd have to worry about depth at RB. I hope that we don't have to use Culbert back there, but it's nice to know we have someone who could do it if we needed. I think Culbert has to be THE most versatile player on our team.

Personally I think they'd be better off moving Tierre Green back to I back and let Culbert move into Green's spot at safety.
I'd rather have an experienced guy playing safety. In the long run Culbert's talents may best serve the Huskers in the defensive backfield, but read what Thenarse said about how talent isn't enough. A running back can often excell without the reps, safety is another story.

Plus Green has already had experience at RB and is the position he is best suited for.

That is kind of surprising to see Culbert getting reps at running back. What ever happened to Thomas Lawson? If Culbert can pick it up, we all know he has a ton of talent, then maybe this could pay off for a few plays in the Cotton Bowl.

Since Green came to NU as a RB, he might be best suited....let's just hope we don't have to worry about this.

Ya, like you guys are saying, I thought Green would make a better RB in a pinch. But, then again Green is our starting safety, and he has alot mor experience than Culbert as a DB in college. Also, Culbert WAS a great RB in highschool (rushed for 1,955 yards and 17 TD's), and he's only a year removed from playing the position, whereas Green is 2 years removed from the position. When it comes down to it, I think Callahan decided on Culbert to get the kid into the game. You don't want to leave talent sitting on the bench, after all. Not to mention, I think this also gives Auburn something to worry about if he goes out with the punting unit and such.

is kenny wilson hurt?
Ya, I'm trying to find exactly what it is. I don't think its really major, but he did miss the Dec 17 practice because of it.
Tendonitis........

And Culburt rushed for over 4000 yards and like 35 TD's in High School........
Ya, sorry. I meant to put "his senior year," but I guess I forgot. My numbers were his senior year, yours were career. Either way, he WAS an accomplished RB.
