Is it just me or do Rockhurst kids not really have an allegience to any single college? They seem to be very open to Illinois, Mizzo, KU, NU, OU.

 
Rockhurst is a prep/private school that has kids from all over the KC area. They turn out quite a few good players and few have any allegiences. IMO they tend to look at the hot school in the area or the school their friends are going to or play at.

 
Summary of the rivals article:

Had a good visit, met a couple coaches. Carl is his lead and they spent some time together. He says the relationship with the coaching staff is probably the most important thing to him.

He has 2 brothers at Missouri. He's seen Missouri, OU, Nebraska, and is heading to Kansas on Friday. He is excited about Nebraska b/c he used to watch NU in the 90s and likes how we are on the rise again. He talked about the fans....

The article didn't say much about leaders though. He did make a comment about how the internet message boards say he is leaning toward MU or OU....he just tries to ignore that stuff.

Nebraska is recruiting him as a TE.

I can't count the number of times I've seen people post on this board something like "what makes you think recruits even read these boards?" They do. If you google "Husker Forum" or "Husker Message Board" you get huskerboard.com. If they are going to be reading anything - it will more than likely be this board. Once they see they have their own dedicated thread - they'll keep coming back to keep an eye on it. Wouldn't you if you were 17?

I'd say if nothing else, reading these threads further emphasizes the fact that NU fans ARE the best (and most football educated) fans they will run into as recruits.

 
I was really hoping we get Dan Tapko to commit early. Although summer is yet to begin, he lives quite close to us. Does anyone have any update on Mr. Tapko, or why rivals lists his interest in NU as low?

last i saw was a couple weeks ago and he listed a top 5. That top five didnt include Nebraska. So I'm sure thats why you are seeing interest listed as low
