close but no cigar! for the perfect buffalo wings use Franks red hot Xtra Hot not just the plain jane franks sauces and do add the butter but also add vinegar to taste as that is essential to any buffalo wing sauce (trust me on this). having owned/run a wing central bar and grill through college i have spoken with many professional chefs including a couple tv chefs and by and far this is the best buffalo wing sauce you will find. a close second is cookies hot sauce mixed with the butter and the vinegar and in that one it is very versatile, i like to add a heavy dose of garlic just a little at a time and you have a buffalo garlic sauce and that is just magical!
