Detached Retina?

Has anyone here had a detached retina, or know anyone who has?  If so, what did you do about it to get it resolved?

I don't (yet) have this, but am at high risk right now.

My dad had one years ago.  I don’t really remember for sure but it seems like they did some sort of laser procedure where they created a little air bubble in the eye to hold pressure on the retina to get it to re-attach.  I don’t think I’m making that up.

He’s had depth perception issues ever since.  Hopefully they have something better now.  Or maybe just works better for you.
