Taylor Martinez remarked that every time the offense would look to the sidelines last week , to see what play calls were being made and signaled in , the Northwestern defense was doing the same thing.

If you scout NU , and watch them on film beforehand , or even have one of your coaches watch the signals during the game , eventually a defense can probably pick up what play you are going to run. For a defense as statistically poor as Northwestern had before playing the Huskers , they sure seemed to be in the right place at the right time ?
Honestly , as parred down as our offense is this year , as Beck was supposed to make our offense SIMPLER than what CallaWatts used to run , it seems to me that we basically option with either Martinez or Burkhead on the first two downs and then everybody and their mother knows we are going to throw on third down ? So maybe it is just easy to see what we are going to run ?
Of course even losing last Saturday , Martinez had his best passing day as a Husker.
What is your own take ?
