Dream 2020 Schedule

So, if Nebraska does go the independent route and devise its own schedule, what would the dream match ups be? Pick your top 12 for a twelve game Schedule.

I'd love to see

K-State

Oklahoma

Missouri

Iowa

Texas

Notre Dame

Penn State

Texas A&M

Iowa State

Michigan

Ohio State

Oregon State

We still have a score to settle with Florida State.  The stakes aren't as high as the 94 Orange Bowl add them with the Big 8 teams

+ Iowa (just to start the winning trend against them) + SDSU (where I went to school and who needs a good payout)+ Ohio (Frank) + Wisc (just to show that we can beat them)

I want to play Iowa 10 times, plus a tie breaker if needed. I want a genuine hated rival. Put em in a bubble, online classes and let's do this.

Can't play any big ten teams now.  Replace Iowa, Michigan, OSU, and Penn State with Colorado, Miami, USC, and Florida State.

Sounds good. Add IA state, KState, SD state and ND state.  Maybe Notre Dame Air Force, Army, etc. Missouri,     Thats a nice season chock full of TV and fan appeal. Play em all in Lincon as the cherry of top!!

A schedule consisting of some of the below teams would be the likely route:

NDSU

BYU

SMU

Cincinnati

Navy

Kansas

K-State

OU

Baylor

Mizzou

Someone tweeted yesterday if Nebraska was actually going to play a schedule this year, it would likely be teams all within the 500 mile radius. Understanding the SEC is conference only and most of the ACC has already confirmed their non-conference matchups for 2020, My thoughts on what a schedule could look like would be:

Iowa State

Kansas

Kansas State

Oklahoma State

Oklahoma

Tulsa

SMU

TCU

Texas

Air Force

Army

North Dakota State

Realistically, NU would be closer to 8 games and the odds they can play 7 Big 12 teams would be slim to none. They’d probably be able to swing 2 games against Big 12 teams (schools are limited to 1 non-conference game). I’d guess realistically the schedule would be something like:

Iowa State

Oklahoma

Tulsa

Air Force

Army

Cincinnati

North Dakota State

SMU

NDSU would most certainly play us but I honestly wouldn’t even be surprised if we played a scrimmage type game against UNK or someone either.

Regardless, this isn’t happening.
