Dream Schedule

Redux

If you could design a schedule for Nebraska to play in the next couple years when we have things rolling, who would you put on it? Take conference ties out of the equation and pretend we are independent.

Would you rekindle old rivalries or conference neighbors? Would you load it full of cream puffs for a chance at undefeated? Maybe you would slate SEC teams to see how good they really are in Lincoln come November. Off the top of my head, this is what I came up with:

Week 1: VS Kansas State

Week 2: VS Iowa State

Week 3: @ Florida State

Week 4: VS Northwestern

Week 5: @ Missouri

Week 6: VS Penn State

Week 7: BYE

Week 8: @ Notre Dame

Week 9: VS Colorado

Week 10: @ Minnesota

Week 11: VS Texas

Week 12: BYE

Week 13: @ Wisconsin

Week 14: VS Oklahoma

Game 1: Kansas State

Game 2: Colorado State (Insert any mid major)

Game 3: Iowa

Game 4: Miami

Game 5: Minnesota

Game 6: Colorado

Game 7: Washington

Game 8: Texas

Game 9: Michigan

Game 10: Wisconsin

Game 11: Missouri or Tennessee

Game 12: Oklahoma

Week 1: Miami

Week 2: Colorado

Week 3: Kansas State

Week 4: Texas

Week 5: Rutgers

Week 6: Oklahoma

Week 7: Michigan

Week 8: Alabama

Week 9: Michigan St.

Week 10: Iowa

Week 11: Missouri

Week 12: Wisconsin

Sep 6 Iowa (Remember early 80s when we opened with them a few times? That was fun.)

Sep 13 Alabama

Sep 20 Oregon

Sep 27 at Syracuse (revenge for 1984)

Oct 3 Houston (revenge for 1980 Cotton Bowl and shunning us)

Oct 10 at Colorado (because I live here)

Oct 17 South Carolina (More bowl revenge)

Oct 24 at Air Force (because I live here)

Oct 31 Wisconsin (remember Halloween 1992? Colorado does.)

Nov 7 at Colorado State (because I live here)

Nov 14 Florida State (because November)

Nov 27 Oklahoma (because it's the way things are supposed to be)
