I'm going to type this and then give bshirt a warning for THIS POST. There has been plenty of invective thrown around on the subject of our QB, but this is definitely over the line.

I also think something needs to be said publicly, not singling out anyone specific, about calming the hell down. Everyone is all worked up over essentially nothing. Any suggestions on what to say?

"Everyone calm down" seems a little weak.

 
It kills me the amount of personal feelings some of these people put into the quarterback situation. Who cares who is the quarterback as long as they don’t suck.

I find it funny in bshirt’s post about internet tough guys he turns into one. If you ask me, and nobody did, I think that dude is pretty much a huge smelly turd. Po Belini is right though he is pretty much a Taylor Martinez nuthugger.

As far as the tension goes, I would hope it would pass on its own with out us having to say something. If it doesn’t I agree something should be posted to calm the situation.

bshirt often uses hyperbole in the extreme, drumming up these hugely melodramatic statements outcrying the wrongs other fans are committing. It definitely rubs me the wrong way a lot, and I don't think he's the only one - blasted imposter, as another example.

I think for the rest of us though, "everyone calm down" is a good reminder. Good job locking that thread.

So he's leaving? I told him he didn't have to go, that he should sleep on it, but we'll see. I agree he goes unnecessarily over the top in making his points. Not sure if he's mocking me with the "best damn mod" thing since I just gave him a warning, but whatever. If he calms down and just talks football, he's decent. But the calming down part is key. If he can't... we're probably better off without him.

Po Belini seems like a pretty nice guy, so to get him riled to the point where he says something is a concern. And this isn't bshirt's first warning.

blasted imposter is just building a case for a ban. He's not interested in conversation, he's here to stir up the muck. My guess is he'll go ballistic after he earns his first warning and it'll end up costing him his membership.

 
Yeah, I saw that. He's either going to have a coronary, get banned or really truly leave on his own one of these days. Probably before the season starts. The guy just can't let it go.
