I know NUance made the decision to pop him for 6 months based on showing up to mix it up a bit after we got creamed, and initially I agreed with it. But, after re-reading his comments, I misread what he was saying, and I think some of the posters do have a point in that it seems a bit severe. If he's nailed for that, then stuff like CM's "Navy beat ND" thread should be in a similar vein. IMO, we know exactly what he's doing.

Running up the score is part of the game and will be as long as there are subjective rankings. OSU has something to prove after losing to PSU so they're going to do it every chance they get. Nebraska does it as well. Everyone does it. Things could be worse...this is still a better game than the '14 B1G Championship game. LINK
If you have to constantly say how much class your fan base and team have then you don't have class. LINK
Our old friend Excel—aka Bucky—doesn't post anything on HB for several months, then shows up to rub our noses in it after the worst Husker loss in decades. This earned him a warning and six month suspension.

My thought process was that he hadn't made a single post since February, and then drops by on the eve of our worst defeat in decades and brings up the 2014 CCG and makes a crack about how classy our fan base is.

But, yeah, 6 months may have be a bit harsh. It's just that since he hadn't posted for about nine months before Saturday I didn't think a one or two month penalty was much of a penalty at all.

That said, feel free to reduce the six months to something you feel more appropriate, anyone who wants to. It certainly won't hurt my feelings.

Nah, I don't wanna override you by any means.

Originally I thought he was being a huge d!(k, but that's because I misread what he had wrote (and I was pissed that we had just gotten skull drug). The only reason I brought it up was that after reading some of his recent posts, I felt that some of the guys complaining in the Village Of The Banned thread did make some valid points.

Again, I have zero intention of overriding your decision, I just wanted to bring it up to the team, mostly to further the discussion of where the "trolling" line is.

For what it's worth, I haven't had the feeling Bucky was here to be anything other than a friendly visiting fan. He's posted here enough to take part in the banter (remember when he posted a mock peek at the Mods forum?). And among the reasons for an extended absence might be a tour of duty in his case.

Plez reverse or reduce. The timing is convenient and suspicious, but the content wasn't all that bad. Besides, it was better than the 2014 CCG, in which Wisconsin lost to Ohio State 59-0. At least we scored!

FYI, I believe NUance had already done this; at least, I saw Excel posting in the Shed.
