Franchione tendered his resignation because the University offered him one of two options:

Option A: Resign, take the offered buyout

Option B: Be fired, we will take you to court to prove the inside info selling was contrary to your contract, you may still win but it will be dragged out and you will get no check until settled

 
What are all the idiot posters going to do now that they don't have Callahan to crap on? I was driving back to Omaha today and just east of Lincoln there is a creek called Callahan Creek, I was surprised the sign was still there and not defaced...

Quite right --- what will those looking for something safe to deride so as to feel better about themselves do now that Callahan is gone? I suppose they'll start kicking their dogs until NU losses its first game sometime next season --- and then the dog will be safe again.

I was thinking about that creek too. hehe.. I wonder how many times a day Sean Callahan at huskers Illustrated hears 'Callahan' Jokes just to rib him over the name.
