Find Posts feature not working?

Perhaps his other posts have been deleted? I see a post in the Cody Green recruiting thread by searching via the IP Lookup tools on the black bar up top, and I see the most recent nonsense by clicking on the Topics post in his profile page.

I also think some posts have been lost when we did the board upgrade last February. There are many times I'll search for a post via google, click it, only to find myself on the HB index page because the links all changed.

EDIT - check THIS out. I wonder if he's got several accounts. There is a similarity in posting style with all of them.

The links haven't been changed significantly if I recall. Just add in a directory and you can find them again. Post an original link and I'll see if I can convert it for you.

From that, it just sounds like he forgets his old account name from time to time. He doesn't have a lot of posts total and I don't think he's playing masquerade. But yeah...it does seem to be posts before the change that can't be found.

I think that happens quite a bit. There are several static IPs I've found with multiple member accounts attached, and there's a progression where this user name posted for a while, then the next one posts for a while, etc. Most of the old usernames don't have warnings or bans, so they probably just forget and start again, or decide they don't like their username anymore and start over. I know that's against the rules technically, but it's pretty harmless.

Also, if the post was moved to the Junkyard, that might hide it. I recently removed anything in the Leadership forum from showing up on the side-bar; until then, if we posted a new topic about a member, it was showing up on the sidebar, even though members couldn't see it. It's possible that doing that removed our hidden forums from being indexed.

Not sure how to work around that if that's the case.
