Firefox or Chrome platforms

In my retirement mode for the last year, I spent more time to examined and tinkered around in settings (test trial) for Firefox and Chrome platforms. Final decisions, I choose FF because ........

- FF is higher screen resolution than Chrome (for some reason). Like HD (FF) against SD (Chrome).

- FF is more customized options vs. Chrome ...... whole bunch of FF add-ons (extensions, themes, appearance, plugins). Granted, sometimes FF add-ons are practically useless but a few, very excellent tools. Plus easier to use IMO (customize settings).

I heard Chrome is faster speed than FF. In my opinion, no difference at all.

BTW, occasionally I explored IE ...... piece of s*** !. I never tried Opera, Safari, etc etc etc

Any thoughts ??? Oh by the way, my OS computer - Windows 7.

I use both. I have to use FF at work due to some plug-ins and programs we use that work through the browser; but, at home, I almost exclusively use Chrome for web browsing and other basic internet needs. I find it performs quicker, freezes less often and is simpler to work with for my needs.

In fact, if I didn't have to have FF on my computer because of one of my work programs, I wouldn't have FF at all.

I think the latest FF versions was apparently fixed freezing problems. Now both FF and Chrome are free-freezing; cross my fingers. The only advantage, sometimes FF occasionally "skipped" videos for half a second delay or less ...... maybe the culprit was Shockwave Flash thing

. Chrome is not (smooth video). Again, occasionally.

I prefer FF. Chrome is a resource hog. I don't mind Chrome per se, though. I will say that I tend to have WAYYY too many tabs open on Firefox and when I'm running a lot of Flash-intensive programs, freezing is a more regular occurrence than I'd like. That necessitates a Ctrl-Alt-Del + End process when it happens.

That necessitates a Ctrl-Alt-Del + End process when it happens.

That happens to me at work pretty regularly. I tend to have a lot of tabs open because of various work needs and I probably have to restart FF completely 3-4 times. That doesn't usually happen to me on Chrome.
