FLU is a problem child. This guy earned a suspension a while back for instigating in a bunch of threads, getting a PM from me telling him to chill out, then going off his rocker and pissing a bunch of threads.
His suspension ended a while ago, but he didn't start posting again until recently - when he immediately got back to his old tricks, trying to get people riled up in the Tyler Moore thread - the original one that got locked. I PMed him to calm down but he ignored it, so he got another suspension.
The morning he got his suspension, minutes after FLU logged on to find out his account was suspended (I was watching), two accounts were created: Kid Nickels and tommie15frazier. All three: FLU, Kid Nickels and tommie15frazier, post from 207.29.222.247, which I've been unable to resolve (didn't try very hard - NIC was down and I used one other source).
Kid Nickels started posting first, and (shockingly) posted in the Tyler Moore thread. What's telling about that account is that, before his first post, he had an avatar loaded. This new avatar system gives lots of folks fits, so many that many new people from the last year don't have avatars. This guy had an avatar before he ever posted anything - not a smoking gun, but noteworthy.
I sent Kid Nickels a PM reminding him that creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension is forbidden. He read it, but never responded. Again, I find that highly suspicious, and I flagged the account as a spammer. I figured that if he was a legit account he would email someone asking what was up, but to date (a few days later), we've received no email that I'm aware of.
Enter tommie15frazier. He started posting today, and since I was already suspicious of him, I checked his IP. Bingo - same as FLU and Kid Nickels.
So.... we all know I'm paranoid and I check the hell out of everything. We all know I jump to conclusions sometimes, and it's not always (but almost always) the correct one.
So I'm asking you guys - what do we do here?
FLU, originally, was a pain in the a$$. When he started posting again recently one of the first responses to one of his posts was, essentially, "Great. You're back again," from one of the other members (not me).
I suspended him for instigating, again, and he pretty much appears to have created not one but two new accounts to circumvent the suspension. This is supposed to earn a ban.
Do we ban him?
