I do both...I do back squats for one of my main lifts and will do fronts squats for an auxiliary lift after deads. When you do back squats, do you position the bar low or high on your traps?

I have tried to do low-bar position but just can't. I don't know what it is, shoulder rotation or something else, but I just can't seem to get it.
I will use a low-bar position for heavy weight and high-bar for lighter.

On front squats, I position the bar across my shoulders and rest it on my chest. I have seen some hold it in their hands like a power clean. That is to hard on my wrists.

I position it low on my traps when I do back squats. On front squats, I'll cross my arms across the bar on my chest and hold it that way. I can't hold it either, too hard on the wrists as well.
