Harpoon Larry

AR Husker Fan

Team HuskerBoard
Received the following email from user Harpoon Larry:

Don't understand why I have been tagged as "You are not allowed to visit this forum"
Just wanted to pass an observation and see if anyone in Husker Nation could expand on the topic and provide clarification. Does this also tag me a person that can not be a Husker Fan anymore. This is not what America stands for, this is an outrage and not keeping with the Nebraska values.

Harpoon Larry
Lance, saw where you had tagged him for trolling, but I could find any posts. Do you recall what he did? Thanks.

I'm baffled. I don't know this user name at all, and I don't recall putting a warning on him. The only explanations I can think of are:

1) He posted something, I warned him, and his post got deleted later. It would have had to be pretty egregious to be given a warning on his first post, though, and I'm pretty sure I would have remembered it. Also, I don't delete those posts, but I almost always put them in the Junkyard. Someone else could have deleted it, but I doubt it.

2) He put something troll-ish on his Status Update and I deleted it. This kinda sorta barely rings a bell, but I think I would remember this more clearly if that's what happened.

3) I intended to give the warning to someone else, but accidentally clicked on Harpoon Larry. This seems pretty unlikely, since he has no posts and to warn him I would have had to get into his profile.

4) Some kind of system error.

Regardless of what happened, he's not banned and he can still post. I have no idea what he's talking about regarding the "you are not allowed to visit this forum" thing. Is that the message a person gets when they're banned?

I'd guess number 1 or 2.

Right now, his on Mod Ban - he'd get that screen if he tries to log in. Anyway, I'm letting it ride. The phrasing of that email indicates to me that he logged in and posted something he shouldn't have, regardless whether it was his status or a post that went missing.
