Ive been thinking about this idea for quite a while, but the recent explosion with the "ku is the worstest fans EVER!" topic, i figured worstfans.com had to happen. so I asked my trusty buddy Slacker to lend a hand, and he knocked out a fresh blog, with polls for the major conferences, and teams.

As you'll notice, it definitely needs a fresh banner. So I was wondering if any of our resident graphix gurus could lend their skills. Here are my basic concept ideas, and if others have suggestions please post them:

-pic of screaming / slobbering fans

-pic of people throwing things - if possible

-maybe some logos of the most notorious worst fans i.e. CU logo, or maybe a faded image of every conference logo

-pic of people that r about to get into a set of fisticuffs

-under that a slogan along the lines of "Let's settle this once and for all"

-WorstFans.com in the middle, maybe with a splattered or worn look ... i think there are some "gore / blood" fonts on dafont.com that would work well

again these are just thoughts off the top, so I'd like to hear other ideas too.

Thanks guys. I think this site could become quite popular, and possibly even generate some decent coin through google ads. if so, I'll definitely reward whoever helps out with it. speaking of which, we'll probably need a hand or 2 with moderation duties, if anyones up for it.

but overall i dont plan to moderate it much at all, aside from removing pure bigotry, threats, and spam. just let people e-swing on each other - thats what its for.

Wanted to add a little to that, keep in mind this is supposed to be as bias as possible. Chad has said the most notoriously worst fans, but IMO that's in the eye of the beholder. And yes I know some are worse then others, but the reason for the site is to allow the people to decide who the worst fans are, maybe we shouldn't make suggestions in the banner? Visitors shouldn't be able to guess that it's run by Husker fans. Am I right? Just my opinion. OOORR if you had to mention actual teams I would suggest making it as varied as possible, I wouldn't included any more then one or two max from the Big 12.

I went ahead and threw something better in the banner, just so it didn't look so out of the box wordpress... Still plenty of room for improvement.
