In the topic "WHAT THE HELL UNL?", the guy goes on an absolute rant about UNL bringing Bill Ayers in. I bring up the point that NYU brought in Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from Iran to speak and that doesn't mean they represent his views. I threw in "Take a chill pill." which I probably shouldn't have and I apologize for.

HOWEVER, the guy shoots back with the most insulting piece of trash I have ever read on a message board. He flat out calls me:

a. gay

b. a woman

c. uneducated

d. a drug addict

If someone wants to ban him, do it, but I can't because it'll just provoke another attack.

Also, that should probably be moved to the Woodshed. He can shoot back at me, I won't be responding anymore.

See my response in the thread. I didn't ban him because other posters jumped in with attacks also. My guess is that after my post they'll clean it up - but the d******d won't, in which case he's banned once he crosses the line.

I'm coming real close to thinking that any attack on a Mod needs to result in a ban - if they go off on them that way, they've indicated that they can't follow the rules. Something to consider.

I read your post. I second that any attack on a Mod needs to be a ban of some sort. By the way, who did lock the topic?

Guys, you're gonna love this...

First, I kinda figured it was going to go like this. Last night, I was on the Board until around 10:30. "The One" kept popping back in and out - not posting, but logging in. He had to have read my PM to him. I had the feeling he was trying to wait us out, and find a time when we weren't on the Board. I logged out at around 11:00, and I think I was the only Mod/Admin on at that time. Sure as hell, "The One" logs in and posts at around 10:45 or so.

I logged in this morning at about 6:00 AM and see that "The One" has posted his crap, but that huskeraddict nailed him. I banned him permanently.

Then I notice I have a PM. Sure as hell, it's "The One". Here's his little rant:

Normally, we have a "three strike" standard on the Board - violate the rules three times, and we ban the poster. The rules include a ban on personal attacks on members.

However, if you ever engage in a personal attack on a Moderator again, I will ban you immediately.

The decision now rests with you - you can either grow up and remain a member of the Board, and start fresh. Or, you can whine and cant and be banned.

Then, just a few minutes ago, I check to see who has registered. There were three registrations - one of them was "THE MINIMIZER", who registered last night at 11:36 PM. The IP address was the same as "The One" - and the email address was "theone@grandecom.net". However, the account was still in the validating phase - so I banned it, as well. Guy must have realized he was toast, and thought he'd create a new account to log in today.

Wish I could see his face once he validates and then can't log in... :rollin
