HQW-7

Team HuskerBoard
In seven games, Nebraska has forced 29 turnovers (13 fumbles, 16 interceptions), compared to just 10 at this time a year ago. And maybe the most impressive stat is that the Huskers are averaging 13.7 points a game off turnovers. B)

Along with the above stats consider the following. I read an article this week from a Texas newspaper and they made it quite clear Nebraska although 6-1 and atop the Big 12 North are not in the drivers position for the crown. He said they haven’t proven it yet. He also pointed out though it wasn’t out of the question that the Cornhuskers couldn’t do it. But it would be a tough ride, and that K-ST is still the team to beat. Hmmmmmmm……………………… <_<

You know what, I agree with just about everything he said. Nebraska, although playing well, hasn’t beatin’ anyone yet. Their toughest game was against Missouri and they fell. This of course is not to say he is correct about the remaining games. I think Nebraska will finish strong. I believe and am quite convinced for this season to truly be worth anything, that Nebraska must finish the season no worse than 3-1 in their remaining games. And they will not lose to K-St., so they will narrow things down a bit. The law of averages then points to Texas as their only loss. Still 10-2 and a trip to the Big 12 Championship isn’t bad. B)

As for this week, just an easy victory. I don’t see anything else. Iowa ST. is limping into Lincoln quite badly. They're beat up, lack talent, and are without Seneca Wallace. Even when they were with all their top guns, healthy and ranked, Lincoln has always been an extremely tough place for them to win. This game will be fun to watch if you’re a Husker fan. It will be over by the half and that means there will be plenty of Dailey time in the second half. This means more offense and more scoring.

We looked good today, minus the dumb penalties. This will hold us back from national prominence and winning the big ones. Other than that, our offense needs some fine tuning but I think the coaches were keeping their cards close to the table, and will pull Texas' card if needed. If not, look for a break out play or 2 when it counts that will blow your mind and break the other teams back ala MU pulled on us.
