Check out this post (the bottom of it anyway). I went to edit a post of mine, and saw an HTML dropdown box - 'Off' and two variations of 'On.' The only forum I've found that has this feature, is the Conference Expansion forum. I also tried the Test 1 moderator forum, and the main Husker football forum, but it wasn't there.

When did this happen? Can we have it for all the forums? It's pretty sweet.

Oh, man - we don't want that. Allowing HTML permits a computer-savy user to inject all kinds of crap into the Board.

Sorry, Zoogs, but that's got to go.

I'm fairly certain scripts are still disabled. I don't know how the function works under the hood, but on some vBulletin boards that allow HTML it's strictly content/formatting and no dynamic features of any kind. But, I don't understand the security concerns totally, just saying HTML on its own might not open us up to any risks (though I don't foresee a particular use for it here). It seems like embedding media (youtube) or images has more potential to be dangerous - but I'm no expert.

Anyway, nothing lost really. I don't even know when/how/where the feature came from. Your call :)

(EDIT): I just re-read your post and realized, 'crap' could mean a lotta things...even with just formatting, one can be pretty obnoxious :P So I see your point!

We should probably evaluate what html works there and what doesn't. Might be handy or might be more trouble than its worth

I had to cut HTML out of a post in the Politics forum today. It was making every subsequent post in the thread BOLD. We cannot allow HTML to affect this site. That's a big no-no.
