Husker Chalk Talk - Wyoming Game

I saw this site tweeted out on Twitter and I thought it was pretty cool. It gives a little review of the X's and O's on certain plays from each week.

Here is a review of the Wyoming game, with some focus on Run-Pass Option (RPO's) that Langsdorf/Riley have designed for Tommy. I really like the idea of the RPO, based on pre-snap reads and this stuff is pretty cool. I have no idea how to break down plays, but this site does a pretty good job of it.

The player Armstrong is reading in this play is the Nickelback, who gets put in a bind because he’s the force player in the run game but also must expand to the flats in the passing game.
Nice discussion of the RPO Langsdorf was dialing up all afternoon. That's a beautiful play

The thing is, Oregon should be used to that play. Since they run it a lot themselves.

Awesome breakdown. Reminds me how little I actually know about football and how impressive it is that these kids operate some really brainy stuff so well.

That guy puts out some good stuff, and I look forward to reading those articles week to week.

It's great that Husker fans get to see this, especially things like the fade/hitch concept that you will see a lot of from week to week in both CFB and NFL.

I got pretty giddy when I saw it being used for Carson Wentz' first TD.

Giddy because we used it too, I'm not an Eagles fan...

I don't remember if it was TCU, the Cowboys or some other ones, but the RPO was brought up in a few games this past weekend. And as we know the NFL has always been the ultimate copy-cat league from within. So it's likely it trickled down.
