Huskerboard Favorite Scotch or Whiskey Thread

I love beer. Especially microbrews. I enjoy the Favorite beer thread but once in a while I got to hit the bottle. Help me out with some suggestions.

Right now my favorite Whiskey is Jameson with just a splash of Sprite. My favorite Scotch is The Glenlivet 12 yr straight up on ice.

Anyone else?

I have a bottle of that too. I do like it. Not my favorite, but good.

If you check the book thread there's more info about it, but I read "Boozehound" a while back. There was a chapter where he talked a lot about whiskies. It got me hooked on rye whiskey, specifically Bulleit rye. It's good in a Manhattan and good with just a couple ice cubes.

Buffalo Trace is a really good bourbon without the top shelf price. Likewise Forty Creek as a Canadian.

I've only ever had the blackberry, but they do make peach and hot cinnamon.

Price is around $20-$25
