Agree on the Twitter feed. We probably need to promote our account more. Any ideas?

Is the password to the Twitter account posted anywhere? A link to the twitter page is on line but no tweets since January. If we all had the password I think we can take turns putting out tweets and linking to threads (using link shorteners) and so on.

We can also tweet nice things to @knapplc.

I never remember to post things on the Facebook page but I'm on Twitter enough I think I could learn to get stuff up there pretty regularly.

What kind of things do we want to do? Tweet news and hot threads? What about re-Tweeting info?

 
Yeah, all of that sounds good. I've never used twitter before, actually. Whatever the cool kids on twitter do. I suppose the goals would be to point people to the site, which can be done by linking directly to threads and directly promoting the board, or general Husker twitter stuff that hops into existing conversations and maybe reaches out to a userbase and starts building followers.

I'm not up to date on Facebook's status in the world, but it seems like Twitter is much more relevant and agile for this sort of thing.

I guess the first thing to do would be to get more followers, like AR said. If we get it up and running more, perhaps putting it in our signature lines would let people see it pretty often - as long as they don't have those shut off.

Don't be afraid to twitter the sh#t out of the recruiting pages....that's what's hot along with a numerous hot updates he are getting with coaches.

My advice is don't be scared to use it.

I have facebook covered.

Got a question though. Lately I'm posting and i would usually attach the Huskerboard pic i have, but it wont let me do that or it removes the link to the thread I put in there.

Any suggestion?

 
That's odd. Sorry, I have no idea how it works!

Mav -- would you like to post an announcement advertising the Twitter account? It's through the mod panel and can appear in all forums.
