Huskers win game 1 of a two game mid-week series with New Mexico 4-2

Erik Bird pitched a Complete Game (that would be 18 1/3 innings his last two starts)

And people are gonna be like "who cares, just UNM"... well, UNM is a NCAA Tourney caliber club this year... Bird looking for a shot in the weekend rotation again it seems huh? Glad to see him have a strong finish to his career.. Sadly, there really isn't much shot at us making the big 12 tourney.. any chance we have is us sweeping the 6 remaining conference games AND getting quite a bit of help from other teams.... But still a good win here and something to build on to finish strong and for next year.

Huskers came from behind to win game 2 today: 9-5

Scored 7 runs in the sixth inning capped off by a 2-run homer by Tyler Farst. Cody Neer went 4-4 at the plate
