Note the highlighted parts of this pic. Shouldn't this be a header, or a footer, or whatever - just not spread out across the section?

We can just push the descriptor text underneath the subforum list.

We could also hide the list of 40-some subforums for that particular forum. What do you guys think?

 
I'm in favor of hiding the list of subforums, but we've had this discussion before and the Admins are in favor of keeping them, as a form of perpetual advertisement (paraphrasing). I see the logic in that, so let's not do that.

If we put the descriptor beneath the subforum list, and make it bigger, that may do the trick. Can you increase the font size by one point or something? Bold, one point larger, and all in one contiguous segment should fix the issue.
