I read his name at first as "Martinez thrower" and figured he'd be a shoe in at Wisconsin or Iowa.

We are still recruiting him even with three ILBs committed.  Despite him being listed as an OLB by all the services we see him inside, which makes sense given he is not as tall as most of the guys we recruit to play outside.

Ruud went out to see him a few times from what I have read.

I think we have higher prospects on our board that we are waiting on. This does not take anything away from this player, but once we figured he was Kentucky bound we focused elsewhere in my opinion.

Look for the ILB from Hawaii, Christian Burkhalter from Alabama, Terrence Lewis will have us in a final 3 as guys we close in on for LB. I am missing a few as well. We are sitting well at LB for 2021 so we can be selective for our final 2 spots.

One OLB (Burkhalter/Lewis) & one ILB (Hawaii LB). I think we accept Burkhalter if he commits & go hard after ILB. Plan to not nab Lewis & make room if needed.
