As always if you guys need my opinion pls email me - admin@huskerboard or chad@hb. Overall of course we trust you will make the right day to day decisions, so in a case like this it's certainly up to you. I do agree that we should leave an open invite to the former mods should they want to come back when they have more time in the future.

And of course, thanks again for everything you guys do to keep the board running smoothly.

Throwing some names out there for future consideration if we ever decide to expand the ranks:

Bye Bye Big XII - he's a young guy, but he's got a good head on his shoulders. Pretty sure Ryan would endorse him, too.

Okieland - I don't know if we discussed him in the past, but no reason why he wouldn't be a good mod, I think.

NUance - He's around a lot, a bit of a jokester, but he also seems to have a solid head on his shoulders.

MLB 51 - Seems very reasonable to me.

GSG5545 - another jokester and pals with NUance, but also seems to get what the board is, and what it should be about.

GM_tood - about my age, sharp guy. Better looking than me. Family man, wife and two daughters.

BigRedBuster - I thought I had mentioned him before, but didn't find his name in a search just now. Maybe I misspelled it. I think he's very reasonable, especially outside of P&R.

JJHusker1 - same as BRB. Outside of P&R, I think he does a pretty good job of being a regular, solid member. Not that he's bad inside P&R. He's like me in there - and that's not always a great thing.

I think age is a thing to pay attention to. I know zoogies and Addict are younger than me and BRI, and I think that balance of ages is good. A broader spectrum of ideas and understandings is good.

 
Noticed huskerguy has been MIA since November (last post was October, 2019). Seems like he's had a long drought before too based on this thread I found.

Anybody heard anything from him or is this sort of the norm?

 
Just an FYI - I was looking through the Mod list and there were a couple that haven't even been on the site in months.  I switched them back to regular Members and we can reevaluate if they show up again.  

 
Good call and thanks for the heads up. I was thinking about that too a couple of weeks ago. Seems like the current workload is manageable at the moment for this group but could definitely offer input if you end up being interested in a fresh face or two.

Yeah, I wasn't sure what to think either.  At the moment we seem to be doing OK.  But you never know how much notice you'll have - if any - before others might not be around much.

It might not hurt to investigate a couple options and add one or two if we think we have good candidates.  Maybe I'll make a separate thread for suggestions/discussion.
