I just wanted to let those that dont know (and actually care), why I havent been around the board much lately.
I left my job at Sprint last yr to run my own business full time. I currently primarily sell baseball equipment via battingnets.com, but am expanding into different areas, and will be releasing a new site called PracticeSports.com within the next month. I also moved back to Omaha and have been in the process of finding a house, which I'm moving into within the next few weeks. So those things have been consuming the majority of my last few months.
And to make sure I stay focused on earning my meal ticket, I've forced myself to avoid the board b/c I know it will distract me and I'll end up spending more time on here than I should. The problem is, I'm not sure when/if my schedule will ease up, b/c I really need to continue working to expand my business with new marketing etc, which should result in more business and take even more of my time.
So long story short, Im not sure I'll have much time to continue my primary admin duties as I did the last few seasons. I talked with ETR about turning things over to him full time, which he's cool with, but of course he also has an even more important responsibility on the way, so I cant expect him to pick up my slack with a Mrs ETR JR to tend to.
So over the next couple months Eric & I may need a little more of hand from some of you, to help keep things in order. Things seem to be going fine with you guys doing what you do, but I know there will be things that come up that need more attention, and neither myself or Eric may be around to help with. So if things come up that need my attention, feel free to email me via admin@huskerboard.com, and either myself or Joe can probably help. Or those that have my number of course can always call. and for those that dont its 913.638.6191
Then after things get settled a bit in Erics world, we'll see if he still wants to take over things full time. And we'll probably look to a couple of you guys to take over some other admin duties as well. I should also mention that while the board isnt a jackpot, it does bring in a little coin, and as I told eric as soon as I get the budget more organized, I'll be turning it over to him to manage. And Im sure he'll look for input from you guys on how to best use it. excluding investments in wings & hookers of course. Sorry Frank the Tank.
