It helps a lot when you make one of them major bowls once every ten years or so. Iowa was too stupid to realize they were screwed when Daddy Kirk said he wasn't interested in recruiting Florida anymore.

It is shocking that Barta and KF were in bed together for so long and no one stood up to it.
Insane contract extensions, never ever putting pressure on KF, allowing him to hire (and creating a policy that made it okay to hire) his son, with extension after extension. They were basically robbing the school.
I have even seen Iowa fans mention "kick backs" from KF to Barta, which would make sense.
