Some of my friends and I are making the trip up to Ames and meeting some of my friends that are going up from Lincoln. We will be sitting (or standing I guess) on the Hillside. Cyclones.com is still selling tickets if anyone else is going. Let me know and maybe we can meet up for a beer or something.

It was a great game enviroment when walking around before the game I got told to "go home" that we have "husky women" and of course the brilliant "f#*k the huskers" chant was in full swing most of the first half. Of course, it was funny to me and I just let the boys do the talking on the field. I sat up on the grassy knoll which was awesome cause no one told me to sit down unlike Lincoln. <_< Of course their was a bunch of sad faces of those ISU fans when the Zac and Mo' combo danced in their endzone with 3 seconds left in the half :corndance . A very proud moment for Husker fans. After the fake fieldgoal by "state" as they called themselves :laughpound their were many gold tees saying "beat Nebraska" heading for the parking lot of sorrow. :clap Those that remained started to laugh at their team and basically become nut huggers which was great for me cause my nuts were a tad cold. Overall it was a great experience and besides the crazy fans that were quickly shut up by Mo and friends I would do it again. Thanks to Ames for the good times and the laughs. Until we shuck you again...get a pad for your arse. :nutz

PS. Was anyone else fascinated by the fact ISU got so pumped about first downs?

 
Yeah, they were still cheering for first downs when they were clearly not going to come back. I made a comment about the NU band being better than the ISU football team and a girl punched me in the mouth and knocked my hat off. Her boyfriend made her leave the game. A younger ISU fan was escorted out by the police only to return down on the grassy knoll, surounded by Husker fans. He continued to run his mouth and was escorted out for good. Hilarious day. I kept getting the "N is for knowledge" bit by some punks. One guy kept saying "Eric Crouch for Heisman." I said, "yes, he does have a Heisman. Where's yours buddy?" Then he shut up until he decided to tell me that Crouch was the best NFL player ever. I was so happy when we started scoring and took the lead. Good game. Better luck next time "Clones."

NO sh#t? A girl. Wow, classy chicks in Lames. I knew that highschool with ashtrays had their healthy share of derelicts, but that is quality stuff. From my experiences at ISU I would put them right behind CU & MU for the 3rd biggest buncha d'bags in the big 12.
