Issue with espn scoreboard

Take a look at this thread: http://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/49731-main-page/

This is a pretty annoying glitch. Does anyone know if this happened around the same time the video player was installed? It would be nice to blame everything on the video player :)

The scoreboard was installed a couple months ago, so if it's been happening since then it's apparently the scoreboard causing it, and probably needs to be removed until a solution is found.

Thoughts?

It's more closely timed to the video player. This only JUST started happening, but after even the video player was installed, as far as I can tell.

Good observation. it moves the screen down almost exactly as the video loads.

Frank, can you please remove the video player to test?

I've removed the video player and added back the scoreboard. Zoogies, can you still reproduce the problem? I'm also going to post the question back to the thread in the Board Feedback forum.

It's gone...voila! (in FF)

Not sure about IE8 as I don't have it anymore, d'oh.

Doesn't sound like it would be the kind of thing likely to get fixed by poking through the code, then.

Well, that settles it - the problem is the video player.

1. In IE, the video player causes the Countdown Clock to freeze on pages in which the video player is embedded.

2. In FF, the video player causes anyone visting the main page (where the player is embedded) to "jump" down to the ESPN scoreboard.

Crap - I do like that video player. I hope they can fix it.

Guys, I have to bug out for the night - one of my computers just started making a noise that sounds like an impending fan failure. I just hope it's not the PSU or the CPU fan.

Problem has been solved. Both versions of the video player are back up and running. I just finished the larger version - you can get to it by clicking the Pages tab in the black bar below the banner, then clicking the HuskerBoard Videos on the resulting page.
