Calm down there. Are you an attorney? You would know slander and libel are two of the hardest charges to get a judgment on. It's very technical and has to be proven that the plaintiff was damaged financially by the comments.

He said he hopes Joe is up on his shots. He's just concerned for his welfare. You know, flu season is around the corner. I don't think that's gonna cause a man to yank his membership to her smut show.

I’ve noticed you’ve thrown out a legal interpretation twice now when they were convenient to your point. I’m sure if we go back and read all of your posts we wouldn’t find anything that “causes someone's character or reputation to be damaged”. <_<

So does that mean the people that had the “damaging” posts should go back and place an edit on them like you did for your original post? Which also contained “damaging” assumptions. :dunno

Is there not a stigma held against the “adult website” scene as far as STD’s are concerned? It doesn’t mean all participating have them. Every time we talk baseball does HGH not get thrown around? I guess I better not mention any names as far as that is concerned unless I have actual facts and not just my opinions. :moreinteresting

I have no proof and I took the time, to say I'm sorry; just because someone poses naked does not mean that she, or he if you're a Nebraska wrestler, is a bad person who engages in adultery or infidelity.

2. As someone who has a journalism degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln I certainly do know what libel and slander consist of. And saying that she has STD's could damage her financially because what if someone who pays to see her site reads this and then stops paying her? What if all of her "clients" did that? I'm no lawyer, I have too much integrity, but it seems to me that she could make a case. As to the actual merit of her case...I don't know.

3. The stigma is in the eye of the beholder. If you want to negatively judge her for what she does that's your business.

As far as number 2 goes . . . I believe arguing "Your honor, it wasn't lible because it's true" is generally available as a defense. It can't be libel, slander, or defamation of character if it's true.
