Jordan Westerkamp

Finally we get a kid from out of state that "WANTS" to be here.

One of the biggest names in Nebraska’s 2012 signing class is Jordan Westerkamp. Scout.com recruiting analysts describe him as an extremely athletic receiver with good hands, and good instincts. Husker fans everywhere are expecting big things from Westerkamp, but that doesn’t bother him at all.

“I don’t really feel any extra pressure,” stated Westerkamp.

enjoyed the read.... i was really worried about this kid making it to campus... just because we had been burned so many times... but im really happy he made it.... i hope he becomes a workhorse kinda WR....

I know this is premature but this kid really seems like the go-to receiver type that gets open and catches whatever he can get his hands on. We haven't had that and it's been a drive killer.

Amen.

A wr who actually "catches" the ball. Love it!

I wonder if he caught this one? If so let's pencil him in on the two-deep right now.

This is a recruiting battle that our staff doesn't get the credit that they should get for winning. Make no mistakes, we fended off the wolves on this one. Great get and amazing work by the staff to get him here.

I said it before and I will say it again, this is the second best WR recruit in the nation, period. Now, if he was a "freak" like that kid from Missouri, then he would be number 1. But is is not a "freak" in those types of terms but he simply is the second best WR prospect in the nation. It would not shock my at all if he owns every single NU receiving record when he is done. I mean all of them, receptions, YPC, TD's, you name it. The best part, he will be a 4 year starter.
