[SIZE=20pt]The person replied to my recipe request on a cooking board that I belong to. She is a good cook. I don't like parsley so I asked her if I could leave it out. Will check later to see what she says.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=20pt]This recipe is a south Louisiana recipe; so if you like it a little less spicy, hold back on the peppers.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=20pt]Ingredients:[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]1-1/2 Cups Yellow Cornmeal[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]1/2 Cup All-Purpose Flour[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]2 Tsp. Baking Powder[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]1/2 Tsp. Salt[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]1/8 Tsp. Black Pepper[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]1/8 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]3/4 Cup Milk[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Green Onion Or 1/2 Cup Finely Chopped Yellow Onion[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]1/4 Cup Finely Chopped Jalapeno Pepper-(Opt.)[/SIZE]
[SIZE=20pt]1 Egg, Beaten[/SIZE]

In a medium glass bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
Heat 2 inches of oil to 375 degrees.
Drop by teaspoonful-(or use small cookie scoop)-into the hot oil until golden brown-(approximately 3 minutes).[/SIZE]
