Kansas just got two big QB transfers.

Not that anyone here really cares but Kansas just got two highly touted QB transfers in Dayne Crist (Notre Damn) and Jake Heaps (BYU). Both of these guys were 5 stars out of high school, if I remember correctly.

I'm biased as I'm a KU alum but I'm glad to see the program moving in the right direction. I just wish Gill could have made it happen.

What was Heaps' reason for transferring?
Was benched at the beginning of the year for whomever is starting for them now. The offense took off, and he was left standing at the station. Now he's a little butthurt and in today's self entitlement age, he is better than backup

I'm not trying to be a d!(k, but you clearly haven't seen a BYU game this year. Heaps is terrible. He literately can't hit a guy standing alone by himself. They had no offense. They throw Nelson in, kind of scrappy gunslinger, and start winning. Heaps being benched is the only reason they were able to get in a bowl.

Yeah I never watched a game of theirs. I just thought I remembered him playing well the year before so I wasn't sure. Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

i'll believe KU is moving in the right direction when i see it. weiss has a poor record as a college coach at ND and florida. i doubt he'll do better at KU. i've cheered for KU for years, but a program that fires gill for this guy deserves what they get.

Another good thing is how the timing works out for both QBs. Dayne Crist has just one season of elligibility, while Heaps has to sit out a year (2 years after).

Moving in the right direction starts with collecting talent, especially when the kitchen is completely bare.

The one thing I would not do as an upper classmen who is transferring as a pro-style QB and that is to go to a program that's rebuilding. KU ranks towards the bottom in sacks given up and total offense. They are going to get beat up. What are they thinking? Just my opinion.

Maybe, but they only have to play Oklahoma, okie st, and Texas. The rest of their schedule is weak.
