knapp warning

I figured we might as well start a thread on the knapp complaint telling that other poster to, "piss off, idiot." He's been skirting the edge for a little while now because we've obviously talked about it in a past thread. Myself, I'm not going to give that warning, he and I had a discussion through PM about him leaving in the manner that he did and then becoming an admin at that other dumpster fire. I strongly disagree with the way he left and told him that I wasn't going to be speaking with him on a personal level anymore. Childish of me? Maybe, but I've got morals and the way he left was completely unacceptable and struck a strong cord with me. So it would possibly look slanted if I took action against him, but I will if it comes down to that. What's everyone else's thoughts? It's a personal attack, pretty black and white. Would we be lenient with a "regular" member? I'd be issuing a warning to a regular member, but that's just me.

It is the politics and religion subforum, where we let a little more slide.

Still it's a personal attack and knapp even PM'd all the mods and admins saying that he knows what is going to happen. I'll issue him a warning point, we have to look fair across all ordinary situations, of which this is one.

Ha ha! Yeah, I saw that last night. But didn't know the context, so I waited to see what you'all had to say. A point penalty is appropriate. Maybe set it to expire within a few months.

I get the impression post-Mod Knapp is feeling his oats. He's enjoying his new found freedom to push the envelope in a way he couldn't do as a Mod. Good on him!
