KSU Review

Team HuskerBoard
Devastating. There are times when you don't look for answers or try to justify your teams actions. This one is all on the players. Kansas ST. made the plays and Nebraska couldn't connect all afternoon. Jammal Lord's career was summed up in one game.

I hope this isn't the last season for Frankie. He deserves a couple years with his new coaches. Cotton and Pelini need to recruit their type of players for their systems. Lets' hope the team comes back strong to play well against CU.

Thank you to KStateWildcat and Omaha ksu for sharing their thoughts throughout the week.

Keep the faith - GBR

Will post near CU time

I am disappointed in what I have heard about Husker fans calling for the quick release of Frank and booing Lord and his family. Nothing wrong with yelling at Lord but insulting his family goes way to far. Personally I felt physically ill after I saw the highlights of the game. Seeing those Purple bastards win in Lincoln was just to much. I think they have established themselves as the Huskers new rivals. Everyone hates each other, players, coaches, and fans.

I do not think Firing Solich is the answer, I think Cotton called a good game the players just did not execute to inconsitent not just Lord but everyone. This Coaching staff needs at least 2 more years to pass judgement on them. Of course I will not support Solich after next season if the Nebraska responds in big games does not change. I can handle losses. This year I am happy with a 9 or 10 win season. However total meltdowns in big games is hard to take. I do not understand it, do not know where it comes from, or how to fix it. Close losses are fine I can deal but being embarassed especially by K state at home just makes me sick.

I am still supporting my team. I am really interested to see what Joe Dailey can do in Cotton's system. I have always felt like this team would get Nebraska on their way to restoring the tradition and next year's team would restore it fully, especially with the defense coming back and a good quarterback coming through the system.

I feel like CU could mean Solich's job. I want him to stay I think he deserves Huskerfans support. As a Chicago native I am used to being patient, I know Juskerfans are not known for patience but I think some patience would do us all good and pay off in the long run. Oklahoma went through this and I think they are better off for this. The same is going to happen with Nebraska.

Anyways I am out. I hope I made sense, still to depressed to make a lot of sense right now.

Congrats to Kstate. they dominated us in every aspect of the game. Hopefully Kstatewildcat you had a good trip and you were treated respectfully. I'll be interested to hear how fans treated you after such a devastating loss. Im sure most were in a state of shell shock more than anything.

I agree with nepolo7 & eric the red. Solich needs more time. He made an admirable comeback this season, but to be honest I think most of the turn-around was a result of simply "new blood" and energy in the locker room. A type of a placebo effect. We rode the momemtum of the new energy and the OSU kickoff game which really got us going, but we soon found out we werent that much better than last year - rather we just "thought" we were. When we realized this (MU game), a land slide of confidence began. And we all know that 50% of physical competition is 100% mental.

Just hope we didnt lose too much of our dignity to rip one off in CU, b/c Im afraid that Solich may not make it back from Boulder if not. Plus CU has nothing to lose and beating us would put some icing on their shitcake of a season; where a loss for us (sorry to say) really wouldnt change the complexion of our 2003 legacy all that much.

Keep your heads up Husker fans, and keep the faith - it will be our time again soon, and we'll all be able to say "I was a Husker fan when.."

:)

A silver lining if there is one is the fact that all the streaks and records are over. That means the added p[ressure of sustaining them is over. (I guess) I'm trying.

If you look at the season, although its not over, Nebraska has made some nice strides. Recently it appears we have found a HB. NU has a safety who leads the nation in INT's. We have a bunch of young guys returning on defense and on offense, if you remember we lost three big time lineman at the begining of the year. (Junior, "big smooth" and Schuler) Schuler is going to be big time when and if he returns. Blood clots are tricky, but he looks very promising. Very nice lineman esque prospect.

I want everyone to take a look at what H.F. said about the Huskers. Because to me its all true. The stadium was empty before the game ended. If Nebraska fans are going to do that, fine, but we can't consider are selves the "best" fans because that label doesn't match our actions on Saturday. Now I will say one thing to the jerk who couldn't stop running his mouth and really kind of ruined his point and that is to say at least we didn't lose to Marshall at home. I don't even think you sold it out.

Now lets not forget Nebraska is still 8-3 and ranked. He have lost to all teams either just as good as us or much better. We have beaten everyone we were supposed to, possible next to Mizzou. We still have Colorado ahead of us. A team that has put it to us the last couple years. They aren't as good as the past, but like usual they are picking up steam as year goes on and they pretty much own November.

Keep rooting and keep believing, things will work out

Hearing good things on message boards on recruiting any reliable resources out there that can shed some light on things. I saw we got an DL and a OL that are Jucos and can play right away, also saw we have two new qb recruits coming to town.

I know I am sounding like like a cubs fan again but next year could be great if Solich and staff are kept in place with these recruits in line.

This is going to be a tough game. As tough as any this year to win. If you can't score any points you just don't have the best chance to win. Missing open recievers and missed blocks equates to loses.

I've heard the same old reports this week about how the opposing team has a poor run defense, but he have faced a couple teams like that this year and haven't done squat with it because we have fallen behind or just haven't gotten the job done up front. We have another lineman hurt again. Koch will make his first start. Kid out of Gothenburg. Front the begining of the year we lost three lineman, two potential starters. Junior, kid from South Dakota and the so called "Big Smooth". Our line is weak and inexperienced.

Many of the reporters are picking CU and for good reason. As usual there hot in November. Nebraska has lost 2 of three and hasn't been able to concentrate on football this week. Coaches have had to spend so much time with patching up relations with recruits I wonder how much time they have spent on the gameplan. To be perfectly honest I don't see much hope. I'm going to root my a$$ off Friday, Watch every play, get up at 7am for the game with a red beer, but I'm not going to be surprised if they lose.

If things get out of control........NU 14 NU 31 :o , that's right or

Ross carries us.....NU 22 CU 15 ;)

Hoping and praying
