I have a family member who works at Country Day and he said he was surprised to find out that Nebraska offered, as he has played sparingly between LB and TE this past season. Nothing to do with Kolin's ability as he plays for a powerhouse in Country Day, which produces D1 talent on a regular basis. He said he's a freak athletically and thinks that the offer was based on that and his bloodlines. He thinks that he'll likely go to Michigan if/when they offer but it obviously doesn't hurt being his first offer.

I was reading through his brother's thread and sounded as if Nebraska was co-leader with Michigan before committing to Michigan. It sounded as if that location played a factor, so hopefully that will not be an issue this go around.

I'll tell my family member to sport some Nebraska gear when appropriate.
