Given that he visited here and now looks to be going to Tulane, something's up. Gotta think he'd be coming here if we wanted him, and it's odd that what appears to be a proven pass rusher doesn't have offers to a whole bunch of P4 schools.

Maybe he wanted to be close to home?  He's a Kilgore, TX native I thought.  New Orleans is less than 6 hours away.

Word is he measured in at 6-1, 246 and we decided that wasn't big enough to be a DE/EDGE in our system in the B1G.

That makes sense, although I would have thought he was a Jack and he's a little bigger than McGahee. But if they don't think he has the speed to do all of the Jack things besides rushing the passer, I get it. Still feels like he's be worth a shot as just a 3rd down rusher but maybe he doesn't want to do that. And it is slightly comforting that other P4 schools seem to agree with us - if he goes off and has 15 sacks for Tulane, good for him. That would be tougher to swallow if he does it for someone like Illinois or Mizzou.
